Graduation in T-minus 10 days

So the whole point of this assignment is to share you with you guys what I want to do when I graduate. The problem with that is that I honestly don’t really know what I WANT to do when I graduate. You should also know that I graduate in just 10 days. So basically instead of telling you some things about what career I want and all that jazz, I’m going to tell you my plans for the days immediately following my commencement from Texas Tech.

My parents, brother, boyfriend, and my best friend are all coming in town for my graduation, which is good because the day after that I’m moving out of my apartment and moving back in with my parents in Dallas. Don’t worry I’ll recap the timeline a little bit. The day after I get home, I have an interview scheduled with Bullet Media Enterprises. They’re a promotions company in Arlington, Tx. I don’t exactly know what position I’m being interviewed for because there are a few that are open and I’m being interviewed to determine which one, if any, that they think is a good fit for me. We shall see how that turns out. I’ll be home for a day to interview and unpack(well quasi) and then the next morning I’m hoping on a plane. I’m going to Manhattan for a week with my two best friends as a graduation present from my parents. We are seeing the Broadway shows, The Little Mermaid and Wicked. I’ve seen Wicked before but one of my best friends haven’t so I’m seeing it again. We’re also going on the Sex and The City tour which I’ve wanted to do the last 2 times I’ve been to NY so I’m glad we are getting to go this time. I also have been given a specified amount to spend on whatever I pick out at Tiffany Co., which is any girl’s dream come true. Plus, just spending a week in my favorite city with my two best friends is the best present ever. When I get home from I’m supposed to call another promotions company in Houston to schedule an interview time. This company is called Champion Promotions and is a similar situation as Bullet ME. I don’t know if these companies are anything I’ll decide are right for me, but they’re worth my time if for nothing more than interview experience. If I could, I’d pack up and move to LA and be an editor, but packing up and moving cross country is a little too uncertain and too much of a gamble for me. I’m going to look for editing jobs in DFW, Austin, and Houston when I get back from New York. My future is pretty uncertain right now, but I know that no matter what I have a place to live until I figure it out. My parents are being pretty understanding about how long it could take to find the right job for me so that takes some of the pressure and stress off of me.

I’m going to recap my next few weeks for you so you can better understand the steps of the timeline.

May 10- Graduation
May 11- Pack up and move home
May 12- Interview at Bullet
May 13- Go to NYC with my best friends
May 19- Schedule interview with Champion
